Hospital Introduction

Helping people and the society has always been the goal of Hsing Tian Kong (En Chu Kong Temple). Since the most direct way to acheive this goal is by “practicing medicine”, believers of Hsing Tian Kong proposed a plan to build a hospital in 1981. With the plan carefully examined by multiple meeting, the Hsing Tian Kong Board of Directors began constructing the “En Chu Kong Hospital” in 1990, and after seven years of commitment and continuous support from believers of Hsing Tian Kong, the hospital was finally completed in September 1997. The hospital started outpatient service in October 1997, opened to all in November 1997, and held its opening ceremony on March 3, 1998.

En Chu Kong Hospital is one of Hsing Tian Kong’s contribution to the public welfare through medical care, as well as an exemplar of practicing charitable work, arose from religious spirits. Five months after its grand opening, En Chu Kong Hospital upgraded to a “District Teaching Hospital,” and not long after became “a hospital responsible for the Emergency Medical Network.” In July 1999, it once more upgraded to a “Regional Teaching Hospital,” and in the same year’s September, its plan to establish a branch at Heng River in Sanxia got approved by the Ministry of Health and Welfare. This marked a huge step forward in Hsing Tian Kong’s dedication in medical career. En Chu Kong Hospital is located at the Sanxia intersection of National Freeway No. 3, less than fifteen minutes away from Sanxia, Yingge, Tucheng, Zhonghe and Banqiao districts. Its emphasis is mainly the development of its “Emergency medicine” and “Community medicine.” With advanced medical equipment and high-quality services, it effectively upgrades the quality of medical care in its region. As Chairman Huang continues to promote the Hsing Tian Kong’s Five Great Missions through implementing new technology and humanity concept, medical care serves as the most effective system in integrating technological and humanistic pieces.

Chairman Huang has great expectations for the En Chu Kong Hospital. Since he believes the purpose of the hospital is to save people, he strives to make the hospital’s hardware and software systems flawless. For anything that concerns the hospital’s structural integrity, he views “safety and stability” as priority. For anything that concerns patients’ well being, he ensures that the hospital pertains to the highest standards and utilizes the most advanced and the finest technological equipment. In addition, for the hospital’s internal decorations, he values and evaluates usefulness over anything else. With attentive and thoughtful commitments, he and the health faculty aim to optimize the hospital’s contributions to the society by providing delicate and user-friendly software services. In addition, upholding the values of the Hsing Tian Kong, Chairman Huang urges the faculty to attach care and consideration when providing services. He envisions the hospital to own top-tier medical equipments, user-friendly facilities, and the most considering personel services.

Since 1998, Hsing Tian Kong Medical Care Missions has steadily expanded its footprint to meet the growing healthcare needs of the community. From the establishment of the Fuxing Medical Building for core inpatient care to our upcoming Emergency and Critical Care Building in 2030, each milestone represents our deepening commitment. Through the strategic development of smart healthcare, specialized outpatient services, and dedicated community and long-term care facilities, we continue to evolve—transforming from a trusted community hospital into a premier center for advanced emergency medical treatment.
