Established in 1997, the Department of Nephrology and Dialysis serves the New Taipei City area with support from nephrologists and physicians from the general surgery, cardiovascular surgery, cardiology, nutrition, and radiology departments. The department provides high-quality services such as identifying and treating kidney diseases, prevention and care for chronic kidney diseases, treatment of deterioration of kidney diseases, identification and treatment of hypertension, hemodialysis treatment, peritoneal dialysis treatment, emergency treatment of drug overdose, and plasma exchange.
The dialysis center is located on the 10th floor of the Fuxing Medical Building. Each bed is equipped with individual TV and earphones to enable the uremia patients to receive complete and safe dialysis treatment in a quiet and comfortable environment.
We use the one-time-use artificial kidneys with high human compatibility to improve the dialysis quality. Strict implementation of the dialysis machine is protected by hepatitis isolation treatment to avoid cross-infection, and the RO system is examined and disinfected every other week to ensure the best quality.
We hold special lectures and kidney friendship activities regularly for peer group experience sharing and enhance the chronic kidney disease patients' leisure activities.
