The infection department provides outpatient and inpatient treatment services. Outpatient treatment services are provided in the general medical and infectious outpatient clinics. The departmental physicians are responsible for all aspects of hospital infection control and the coordinated use of isolation wards. Also, the department is responsible for tracking the antibiotic susceptibility of clinical isolates and nosocomial strains in the hospital and providing references for clinicians to choose antibiotics. Surveillance of infectious disease clustering in hospital is the primary responsibility of the department.
