Family Medicine Division

The Family Medicine Department focuses on people-centered medical care for families and the community. We emphasize the humanized medical care - physically and mentally - to offer comprehensive, coordinated, continuous, accessible, and accountable health care.

• Outpatient clinics
  The primary medical services of the Family Medicine Department include common acute and chronic diseases (hypertension, diabetes mellitus, dyslipidemia, etc). We also focus on comprehensive medical care services and the referring of patients to the correct specialists.
• Quit smoking service
  Provide smoking cessation drugs and health education for smokers, and give quitters safe and less side-effecting professional assistance.
• Diabetes shared care network
  For people with diabetes mellitus, we cooperate with the endocrinologists and the Community Medicine Division to provide individualized care by professional nutritionists, including nutrition consulting, personal illness care, regular foot examination, and fundus examination by referral, while they make an appointment for a return visit.
• Home care service
  Home care service provides in-home medical service to the people with disabilities living in Tucheng, Sanxia, Yingge, Daxi, Longtan, and Bade district according to their individual needs, including changing the nasogastric tube, tracheostomy tube, and foley tube, etc. We also offer drug adjustments and long-term care services.
• Preventive health care
  Provide vaccine administration and health consultation services.
• Hospice and palliative care
  We provide comprehensive holistic and palliative care for terminal patients, including Home-based Hospice Care.
• Integrated Outpatient Services for the Elderly
  For the elderly who meet the following criteria, we provide comprehensive geriatric assessment, medication reconciliation, etc:
  (1) people aged over 80 years;
  (2) people aged over 65 years with more than three chronic diseases or take ten medications leading to polypharmacy.
• Osteoporosis Outpatient Service
  For people who meet the following criteria, we provide osteoporosis outpatient consultation and evaluation:
  (1) men ages over 50 years;
  (2) menopausal women;
  (3) people with osteoporotic fracture;
  (4) long-term use of steroid;
  (5) parental history of hip fracture.
• Health examination
  In the Health Examination Center, we provide adult health, full physical health, pre-marital, and employment health examinations (food industry workers; individual or group health check-ups in the hospital or inside the company).The health examinations could be arranged based on individualized needs for a range of self-paid check-ups, including health consulting services and medical appointments after the examinations.
• Health examinations for companies and factories
  We support medical service, labor health consulting and help occupational injury and accident prevention for the companies.
• Community health promotion
  In cooperation with the community health department, we organize health education lectures and offer volunteer medical consultations. We also deliver healthy weight-loss courses in collaboration with the community health department, nutrition department, and rehabilitation department.
• Medical education
  We provide community medical training for postgraduate year students.
