This section represents one of the Department of Internal Medicine subspecialties, responsible for the management of various blood diseases, blood transfusion medicine, oncology, and hospice care. The diagnosis and treatment programs include chemotherapy for common tumors, the latest cancer target drug treatments and immunotherapy, cytotherapy, and controlling cancer treatment complications. These provide a comprehensive treatment implementing the best treatment strategy for cancer patients.

Blood cells, platelets, immunoglobulins, blood coagulation factor-related diseases, lymphatic diseases, blood and various types of solid tumor diagnosis and chemotherapy, cancer genetics, cancer information consultation, molecular targeted therapy, cancer immunotherapy and cytotherapy, pain management, and oncogene detection.

Besides providing a variety of excellent anticancer drugs that are either already on the market or requiring special approval from the governing agency, full-time oncology nurses and pharmacists are engaged in the dispensing and administration of anticancer treatment drugs for both the in-patients and out-patients. Individualized treatment plans are developed by The Oncology Therapy Team consisting of relevant specialists, providing various tumor and blood treatment plans for the people of New Taipei City. Regarding the patients' and their families' rights and interests, the diagnosis, stage determination, the treatment plan, and the choice of treatment methods are extensively discussed before a decision, including using image data and literature and professional advice. After each treatment and evaluation, the medical staff would proactively communicate with the patients and their families, and follow-up treatments will be jointly discussed to enable a thorough comprehension of the treatment situation and condition.

We actively cooperate with experts of other cancer specialties in the hospital to establish a comprehensive and multi-disciplinary tumor treatment team and provide high-quality care for the residents through standardized integration of the tumor treatment.

We aim to become a hematology and oncology specialist training hospital and participate in more high-quality clinical trials so that new treatments can be introduced to the patients. Also, we are developing tumor immunotherapies and enhancing the collaboration with other medical centers and research institutions, both domestically and internationally. The goal is to provide liquid biopsy services and personalized precision medical treatment to improve the cure rate of various cancers.
